I didn’t sleep at all last night. My goodness from the title of this post and the first line you’d think I have been listening to the oldies station while watching cheesy 80s movies. Zero creativity in writing there. Whoops.
Regardless, there was very little sleep due to a small four legged companion that (at some point) had his dinner revisit outside of his body. He then tried to hide the “evidence” by attempting to bury the blob with his nose. I was awoken be a consistent movement of a little dog rooting like a pic hunting for truffles.
Fresh sheets on, dog goes out. Ahhh. Back to sleep.
Nope. Sneeze. Sneeze.
How long was the “other” comforter out of commission… long enough to acquire dust and set of my nose in a series of violent sneezes. For the record, sneezes are very invigorating. It’s like physical coffee. In other words, once you have a few violent dust triggered sneezes… you’re awake and ready to tackle all the things that need to be done.
Which isn’t good at 1:30 in the morning… when you have to wake up at 5:15. Which makes you start to do the mental sleep math. (I know I’m not the only one that does this)
“Okay… I was asleep from nine to one thirty… so that’s _______ hours…. and IF I fall back asleep in five minutes that will be ____ hours….”
We’ve all been there.
Then my husband woke up to go pee. I wake up when he wakes up because he sometimes has a tendency to pee in the wrong places… like laundry hampers and in closets while vacationing. I quickly developed a spider sense to wake up when it comes to him stirring in the wee hours of the night… the last thing I want is to have to clean up pee while yelling at him as he is in his sleepwalking-peeing state. Fortunately, he made it to the proper pee disposal platform last night.
So… I’m assuming I fell asleep at some point- because I didn’t want to wake up today.
Now… about the other day.
I made some cookies with buttery-goodness frosting. The recipe is found here: Perfect Cut out cookies
Other stuff… how about an iPhone drop?
This is a shot of my recent thrift store score… super cute sun dress, some hobnail dinnerware,a vintage crystal necklace, an antique spoon, a doughnut pan and an awesome quilt. All for around 30 bucks. SCORE!!!!
I’m hoping to do a little thrifting today … wish me luck. 😉
