This is a spin on a old school southern dish… very old school and very southern. In fact I can’t even say the recipe without hearing my grandmother’s voice in my head…
Do you ever encounter words or phrases like that? Where they just have to be spoken a particular way? For instance:
“Here’s Johnny”
“They’re Grrrr-eat”
“Rice-a-roni… ”
“plop plop…”
Okay , so those are more common jingles and such. But I’m sure you have a person in your like that says things a certain way…
So, this spicy pimiento spread~ it’s perfect for your Thanksgiving appetizers. (You know, to keep “uncle Bob” from stealing “just a tiny piece” of turkey skin?) I know one year, a particular male in the household managed to nibble away at all the skin, so we were left with a pale, naked bird. Ewww.
One of the best things about this dip is that it has so few ingredient; sharp cheddar cheese, mayo, pimientos and hot sauce. And, that means no store trip! I know you don’t want to go back to the store… I get that way, too.
