black bean dip~and searching for lost items
The other day my in-laws arrived in town. I had an idea floating around in my head to make some black bean dip from this Christmas recipe book. The problem was, I couldn’t find it. And, to make it worse, I just had it out. I’m one of those people that go crazy when I can’t find something. I wander and pace around the house checking the same places. I fret, I get neurotic. Not too good for a hostess, you know…
anyway-
The next day, my mother in law and I went to the dolla’ store. and…..
Taa-Daa! They had it. How cool. Yippee. Happy dance.
So, I went to go make the black bean dip.
And, I was out of sour cream and jalapenos. So… I had to just invent my own recipe. Then, I found some jalapenos- so I put em on top.
Did I mention my husband had a birthday? Well, he’s actually had several- but he recently had a new one:
He got some new shoes, and a few other things. But- the best gift was this:
My 4 year old made him a card. She’s writing now. Awwww.
It says Daddy ft wale. = daddy fat whale
She calls him fat Dave or Fat Whale. I’m not sure why. I swear I don’t know a Dave.
I think she thinks calling things fat is nice. Like when you say: “Awww look at that fat puppy”
I need to have a talk with her about humans.
We also have one of those elves that watch for naughty children:
Another mouth to feed. 🙂
