fish main dish

lemon dill salmon burgers

This is what I ended up doing with my salmon- I know I could have glazed and grilled them, herb crusted them, or- heck I could have just eaten it raw, sashimi style.

But… I decided to make burgers.

I’m on a burger kick.

Just not traditional ones…

I have been into the “out of the box thought” lately, you’ll see why tomorrow-or later.

Now-did I mention the hubby went on a fishing trip this weekend?

Yes, I do miss him. But…it’s kinda nice to just goof with my daughter.

Today we are going on adventures.

That’s just fun.

What are your adventures?

Ours are:

the big flea market

the Latin bakery

the pet stores

the park/water park

the Middle Eastern market

That’s some of our weekend. I’m super lucky she has fun doing all that…

Take some salmon..

I forgot to note how much salmon. Eeek- what do you think? Pound? Pound and half? Man, I’m sorry.

cut it up into chunks…

and… destroy it! Muhahaha! ( insert thunder and lightning sound effect )

now- add to it fresh dill, kosher salt, fresh pepper, lemon zest and a splash of soy sauce.

I could have eaten one raw with wasabi sauce. But, I also used to east paste and fish food as a kid…

now, just cover em with some wrap untill you’re ready to cook.

Can you guess how I did mine?

No.

It was a grill-pan. (it was raining)

These look amazing! Absolutely making these for dinner this week. Luckily I already have fresh salmon in the freezer waiting to be turned into burgers! Do you have any recommendations on a sauce to go on them? (My husband and I can’t handle wasabi) Or are they good eatten dry?
