Remember my soggy tropical fruit salad? It made the ideal smoothie. Yay for leftovers!
This smoothie was made with:
mango
papaya
kiwi
strawberries
pineapple
cantaloupe
lime juice
2 tbs La Lechera sauce (sweetened condensed milk)
Now a few tidbits on things: this smoothie is FULL of enzymes! 2 in particular are papain (from papaya) excellent at breaking down protein. Bromelein (from pineapple) has anti-inflammatory properties. If you read my sprout post, you know a few other things enzymes do. I ♥ enzymes. They’re our friends. Along with probiotics, too. But… that’s another post.
Ok… I have been on a healthy kick lately. The sweet folks at Kellogs sent me some all bran- so I’m feeling good, 😉
I need a chocolate chip cookie, though.
