fresh basta with lemon pepper butter sauce
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of pasta either fresh or boxed cooked according to package directions
- 1/2 stick butter
- 4 TBS flour
- 3 TBS lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 cup low fat milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbs Parmesan cheese
- fresh black pepper
Instructions
- In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and stir to form a thick paste. Add the milk, salt and Parmesan cheese.
- Continue to cook until thickened.
- Stir in the lemon juice and pepper and pour over the pasta.
- Garnish with more pepper and zest if desired.
