Bloodsuckers suck

Well, first of all, let me tell you I love animals, I even have a hard time killing roaches-I usually have my hubby do that. If he’s not home I will spend 30minutes to shoo it out with a broom. I was a vegetarian for 4 years…but that’s a whole new story- I won’t get into that now.

So, when I was doing my usual routine the other day..what’s my routine, you ask?  Wake up at 5, get breakfast/lunch for kids/hubby spend a few minutes on the computer if I am lucky…take big girl to school come home with little girl, do our breakfast, dust, (mondays) , vacum (mon, wed, fri) do bathroom (tuesdays) laundry (tues, thurs) and mop (mon, wed fri) after chores I do a walk/bike ride with Arista then we come home to do at-home-preschool 3 days a week. The other 2 days I bake and market.  So… I keep up with the house. And I’m busy. Happy mama busy.

So, the other day when we came across Miss Weird Bug, I scooped it up and put it outside and Arista blew it kisses and said “wuv yew”. I tried to look up weird bug that was flat and grey and reminded me of a beetle- to no avail.

The following vac/mop day I found another.  Hmm, now I really want to know what they are.

We have tile throughout the house with a few throw rugs by the doors. That’s where I spotted em. So I suddenly thought- “What if it’s a tick?!” looked online. Found little Miss Weird bug on thepitbull forum. (google actually found it there) EEEEWWWWW.

We live in Florida (duh.) there are bugs.  We’ve  -er- the dogs have had fleas. But, I have never seen a tick. Much less a grey one. EEEWWWW. So, we washed up and re applied advantage to our furry family members. But, I now have realized a very big thing. I like to kill bugs that are bloodsuckers. Mosquitoes. Fleas. Ticks. Fortunately, I don’t have a problem with leaches in the house, but if I did- I’d kill em with glee.

I love animals.

Just not the bloodsucking kind.
