Now, I have been wanting to make these for ..oh..about a year now, and finally got around to it. It’s a keeper. Especially if you’re a white chocolate fan. (Like me…) I know it’s not really “chocolate” as people will debate-but I don’t care. It’s creamy, milky sweet deliciousness that I cannot resist. Remember Nestle Alpine White bars? Oooo, those were good. Zeros are still my favorite candy bar, though. My hubby surprised me with one back when he was a boyfriend. I still have it in the freezer. He always asks me if I’m ever going to eat it…probably not. I’m weird like that.
I save some odd sentimental things.
I also have a napkin he wrote on at a bar that asked me if I’d be his girlfriend with a “yes” box or a “no” box.
I circled “or” .
Yes we acted like teenagers when we were dating…even though we were in our late 20s. Okay….I was 30.
Anyways…
I made these. And ate some. We ran out of gas in our grill last night. Dinner sucked and was just a side dish of pasta…so I ate this for breakfast to make up for my lack of calories last night. Heck, I will justify anything….
I love before and after shots, too:
and…. after! I overcooked mine just a wee bit. Whoops.
In taking these pictures, I decided I need a new camera lens. So, I am hunting around my house for thing to sell on Ebay…nobody wants an old candy bar, and Im not sure if I want to part with that anyway, so I went to the jewelry box. Not much left since I got my last camera except this:
So I’m cleaning out my jewlery box. (agian) Look what I found:
I think my ex husband gave it to me… I’m not sure though.I kinda blocked that guy out of my head.
Don’t tell him, but I put it on Ebay. 😉
How much do you think it will go for?
Whoever comes closest will win a…
candy bar? Nah.
How about just a good ol’ goody box?
That will be fun.
Winner will be announced in 5-10 days- because I forgot how long I did the listing for. Whoops.

White Chocolate Blondies (Yield: 16 bars: adapted from Ghirardelli)
8 ounce(s) White Chocolate Baking Bar
1 cup(s) white Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup(s) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
2 large eggs
1/3 cup(s) granulated white sugar
1 tablespoon(s) pure vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9-inch square baking pan with baking spray.
2. Place the white chocolate bar, 1 cup of chips and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, stir and then repeat at 30 second increments, stirring between each. Your goal is to see small chunks left as they will dissolve as you stir another minute.
3. In a bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat the eggs on medium speed until they are frothy. Add the sugar slowly as you continue to beat. Add the vanilla and then the melted chocolate and butter mixture. Gently fold in the flour, salt, and the remaining 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips until well combined. Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
4. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the brownies cool and then enjoy with a side of cold milk.
