cookies desserts

as promised..sugar cookies!

Ok… sorry I didn’t update as much in the keys, but the wifi was slower than molasses (mmm… cookie idea) and I had to walk from my cozy cottage to get to an area to pick it up. So my apologies… I will have to post extra this week to make it up to y’all! Here are the “vintage” sugar cookies! Mmmmm… nice n chewy
2 1/2 c sugar
1 c shortening
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour
2 eggs (small) or 1 large
3/4 c sour cream
1/4 c milk
1 tsp baking soda, 1tsp extract of choice (I use vanilla!)
Combine the wet ingredients with the sugar, add the combined dry ingredients and mix till a dough forms. (you may need more or less flour) Chill 1 hr.
Scoop out balls and dip in sugar or sprinkles. Bake at 350 for 11-13 min.
