these are delightful. So fancy. So easy. All you do is bring 1/2 c heavy cream , 3 tbs sugar and 1/4 c butter to a boil in a saucepan over med. heat. Stirring often. Remove from heat and add 2 c good quality chocolate (semi-sweet) these can either be chips or a chopped up bar. Stir into the hot cream until melted, and place in the fridge overnight.
The mass will look like this. Quickly roll into balls and then into assorted unsweetened toppings. I used coconut, cocoa powder, and almond meal. Store in the fridge. Yum. Chocolate. As Valentines day is fast approaching, I am at a dilemma for savory treats. Originally I thought of fondue, but I worry about that with a toddler running about….so, I am now trying to think of something unusual, and romantic YET family-friendly. Hmmm. I really want to use my fondue pot…. but… hot liquids and kids…hmmm. Ideas?
