Chocolate chip cookies… just a classic. I like em chewy and gooey… thats why this recipe has both butter and shortening in it. The shortening keeps em chewy and soft. And the butter gives them that richness. I apologize for making y’all :
1) hungry
2) plump
The next cookies I will be posting will be a bit healthier (but still yummy!)
aside from the best dough, these make some mighty fine cookies, too!
2 1/3c flour
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
mix together the above ingredients
now, fluff together:
1/4 c butter
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c white sugar
3/4 c light brown sugar
add:
1 egg
2tsp vanilla and 12 oz chocolate chips ( I use a mix of milk and dark)
Scoop onto a cookie sheet:
mmm… dough! Bake at 350 for 6-11 min
or until they look like this
enjoy! Love, mk
