Chocolate mousse cups
Ingredients
- 12 ounces chocolate chips or a grated bar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream divided
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- dash salt
Instructions
- In a double boiler, melt the chocolate in 1 cup of the cream over medium heat
- Allow to cool slightly
- In a stand mixer, beat the remaining whipping cream with the powdered sugar and salt until stiff peaks form
- Gently fold the two mixtures together, and spoon into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip
- Pipe into individual serving dishes.
- Alternately, this can be spooned into a chocolate pie crust for a mouse pie
