Preheat oven to 350FCombine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt Cut in the butter using two knives or a pastry blender until coarse Add egg(beaten) orange peel, and orange juice stir until moist and fold int he dried fruits and cranberries. Spoon into a parchment lined (or greased) 9x5x3 loaf pan Top with coarse sugar, if desired Bake for 40-50 minutes ir until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
